In my opinion there is no better place to enjoy live music than at the Hollywood Bowl, one of the true gems of Los Angeles.
Sure it’s tough to get there (try the Expo Line to the Red Line and get off at the Hollywood/Highland exit and take cab, shuttle or walk up the hill), but once inside it’s magical. Where else can you bring your own picnic and get a ticket for as little as $1? Nowhere! No matter what style of music is playing you are guaranteed to have great sound and clear sight lines.
Here is a list of some of the great acts that will be appearing at the Bowl this summer
I personally am a big fan of the Wednesday and Sunday Night concerts that will include:
Wed June 27th Tribute to Miles Davis
Sun July 1st Vieux Farka Toure opening for Ben Harper
Sun July 15th Reggae Night with Ziggy Marley and more
Wed August 1st New Orleans Night with Neville Brothers and Trombone Shorty
Wed August 15th Latin Jazz Night with Rueben Blades
Wed August 29th Celebrating Peace with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter
Wed Sept 5th Blues Night with Derek Trucks/Susan Tedeschi Band opening for BB King.
See you at The Bowl!
