Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #928, Koreatown’s Chateau Alpine was built in 1936. Just five years ago, you could have purchased the entire French Normandy Revival complex for just under $1.2 million, but ya didn’t. C’est la vie. Today, just one of the building’s six units is on the market for about half that, $674,000 (down from its July listing price of $699,000. Per the listing, the available unit measures 2,046 square feet and features two bedrooms, two baths, “ten-foot ceilings, custom extruded plaster mouldings, artisan fireplace, built-in china closets, a Euro style balcony, and a “large den/double ofc/rehearsal space.” Monthly HOA dues for the condo, which also features some insensitive updates, is $437.
