Construction is chugging along over at the Bloc’s in-the-works portal to the Seventh St./Metro Center station. New photos from the Ratkovich Company not only show how much is done (and how much remains to be done), but also give an annotated tour of what’s what down there.
The underground pedestrian tunnel is going to connect the north side of Seventh Street (where the rail station is) with the south side (where The Bloc is). Once the portal is up and running, people won’t have to go upstairs from the station and wait to cross the street to get to the shopping center and vice versa. The project is expected to be complete late this year.
