Welcome to Friday Open Thread, wherein we’ll pass the mic to readers to speak up about topics of interest, distress, horror, etc. Have something you want discussed? Let us know.

When people visit Los Angeles for the first or even second time, they often want to go to places that most Angelenos never willingly visit. Out-of-towners want to sit next to a star on the Walk of Fame; they want to go to the least cool beaches. Sometimes, we have to take them.

This is not entirely their fault, and so we’re hoping to help thin the herd of worthy options. What Los Angeles buildings or parks or historic sitesshould be on the required-visit list for all tourists, but often aren’t? Which public spaces or architectural wonders do you take people to when they visit? What hidden corner of LA do you take guests to see to prove that you really know your city? Let us know in the comments.
