Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey and wife Jillian are parting with a five-bedroom home in Pacific Palisades, but not one another, reports Variety. Jillian Dempsey purchased the home in July of 2015 after filing for divorce in January of that same year. Now, the couple is back together, and the traditional-style house is back on the market.
Built in 1951, the 6,135-square-foot home features a high-ceilinged entryway and open living area highlighted by a fireplace and built-in wood storage. The roomy kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, and a butler’s pantry. The master dining room features oversized windows and—for now—a particularly imposing oil painting inexplicably propped up on an easel. French doors lead from the living room to the very blue, kidney-shaped pool, and spa behind the house.
Shortly after news of the couple’s potential divorce began to spread last year, they listed a Frank Gehry-designed home in Malibu for $14.5 million. It ended up selling for a half million over asking price to billionaire investor Sid Bass. The Dempseys stand to make a good deal of cash from the sale of this home as well. Purchased only a year ago for $6.1 million, it’s now asking $8 million on the nose.
