TMZ reports that actor-director-lunatic Mel Gibson is parting with a four-bedroom home in Sherman Oaks that he’s owned since 2009. According to the trusty gossip site, Gibson’s ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva had been living in the house until the estranged couple reached a custody agreement for their daughter conditional upon Grigorieva moving out. Now, the home is on the market for $2.575 million—only a little over $150,000 more than what Gibson originally paid for it.

A listing video describes the 3,468-square-foot residence as an “exquisite Frank Lloyd Wright Custom,” which is a bit surprising considering the house was constructed in 2006—more than 45 years after the master architect’s death. Upon closer inspection, it seems this home was actually inspired by Wright’s work, and has little else to do with the designer of such LA landmarks as the Ennis and Hollyhock houses.

Looking at images of the home, it’s hard to see a whole lot of resemblance here to the work of Wright, but there are some nice stained and leaded glass windows (a feature of many of the architect’s Prairie-style homes).

Per the listing, other features include a gourmet kitchen, library, master suite with walk in closet, and “mahogany” walls and built-ins (we’re not exactly sure why the listing description has the word mahogany in quotes). The 10,046-square-foot lot offers a good amount of yard space and a multiple stone courtyards.
