When this two-story Prairie-style Craftsman in Pasadena’s East Washington Village was built in 1912, the Colorado Bridge was still under construction, orange groves were everywhere, and popular local pastimes included such activities as petting alligators and riding ostriches. While the orange groves, and alligator and ostrich farms have been left in the past, the 104-year-old home looks fresh as a daisy following a recent revamp by a team of HGTV designers.

The four bedroom house is fronted by a wide, well-shaded porch, complete with swinging bench.

Features include hardwood floors, crown molding, pocket doors, and built-in cabinetry and shelving.

The kitchen and baths have been thoroughly overhauled.

The bedrooms have walk-in closets, and there’s also a California basement and two-car garage for additional storage.

Asking price for the property, which occupies a 16,494-square-foot lot, is $1.299 million. Open houses will be held this Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
