This classic Spanish-style home in the Hollywood Hills has passed through the hands of a number of local luminaries over the years, according to its listing agents. Built in 1926, it was once the home of Abbott and Costello director Charles Lamont and his wife, actress Estelle Bradley. Later, the home was purchased by TV writer Elias David, famous for his work on the final seasons of M*A*S*H, as well as the Mary Tyler Moore and Carol Burnett shows. More recently, Angeleno Magazine creator Michael Kong owned the home and apparently oversaw several renovations.

The four-bedroom residence features an ornate wooden front door that opens into a tiled entryway with an elegant staircase bounded by a wrought-iron railing. To the side, a living room/sitting area is built around an impressive carved stone fireplace. Hardwood floors can be found throughout the house, along with beamed ceilings. Meanwhile, at least two of the home’s four bathrooms include exquisite tilework and double vanities.

The 4,044-square-foot house has multiple balconies and patios, including what the listing calls a “large happy terrace” accessed from the very spacious kitchen. Situated on an 8,000-square-foot lot, the home also includes a small backyard and a pleasant terraced garden area. Asking price is $2.95 million.
