Causing a bit of a stir on the market this week is this button-cute French Country Storybook home in West Adams. Located several blocks west of the Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens, the three-bedroom residence was built in 1927, and last traded hands in a trust sale six months ago.

Though its kitchen and two bathrooms have been recently updated, the 1,650-square-foot home still possesses plenty of vintage charm, thanks to its arched windows, turret entry, barrel ceilings, decorative hearth, and glass doorknobs.

Other features include copper plumbing, solid oak floors, and central air conditioning.

As far as the home’s outdoor space goes, at the moment, an orange (or perhaps lemon?) tree is its most memorable element. In the words of the listing, the back yard “is a blank canvas for your dream vegetable garden, another home or pool.”

The asking price for the R-2 zoned property is $769,000, and open house will be held Saturday and Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m.
