Developer Geoff Palmer’s newest apartment complex is quite the departure from the fakey, Italian Renaissance-inspired complexes for which he is known.
The Broadway Palace was designed to fit into the historic district on Broadway in Downtown LA. Helping it to blend in with the neighboring theaters’s bright marquees and glowing signs, the Palace features two eye-catching signs of its own. There’s one atop the building at the corner of Olympic and Broadway and another blade sign along Broadway.
Completed in two phases, the newest Palace building opened its door to tenants last month. One-bedroom units range in size from 625 square feet to nearly 950 square feet and rent from just over $2,100 a month to about $2,800 a month.
Two-bedroom units measure from about 930 square feet to 1,038 square feet. They’re priced at roughly $2,900 up to $3,100 a month.
Palmer’s buildings are known for their over-the-top amenities. This building is no exception.
According to the Palace’s website, resident perks include personal WiFi hotspots, a rooftop pool, a teak wood steam room, indoor basketball and volleyball courts, a karaoke lounge, and a screening room.
Palmer is also working on a huge project called The Ferrante, which is snuggled up alongside the 110 Freeway near Temple Street. Judging from its Italian-ish name, it’s probably going to be more like his Orsini and Da Vinci complexes and less like this one.
