Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA ‘hoods. We’ve found five rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,750.

↑ Located in East Hollywood’s Virgil Village, this one-bedroom apartment has a remodeled kitchen, wood floors, new appliances, and in-unit laundry machines. There are even some built-in bookshelves in the apartment, which has a vintage feel. Rent is $1,750.

Two bedrooms! This 800-square-foot apartment in Valley Village makes good use of its space. The unit offers ceiling fans and wall-mounted air conditioning in each bedroom. The apartment comes with one parking space, with the option to rent another. The apartment rents for $1,750.

↑ This Mid-City one-bedroom is located on the second floor of a small complex south of Pico Boulevard. It features wood floors and a slim kitchen, and it’s almost done being renovated. (Photos are of an identical unit, the listing says.) It rents for $1,695.

↑ In the Park Wilshire apartments near MacArthur Park, this Westlake one-bedroom apartment has wood floors, at least one ceiling fan, and a no-frills kitchen. The unit measures a bit over 800 square feet, and it rents for $1,725.
