Is Oracle founder Larry Ellison slowly collecting every house on Malibu’s Carbon Beach? It sure seems that way with news of what is by our count Ellison’s 10th home purchase along the stretch of sand known as Billionaire’s Beach.

The Real Deal reports that Ellison spent $48 million to acquire a house along Pacific Coast Highway that was designed by Getty Center architect Richard Meier for Lissette Ackerberg, the widow of Norman Ackerberg, a real estate developer. The five-bedroom home spans about 7,700 square feet and includes a tennis court and pool.

Ackerberg sold the house just a few years after losing a long and public battle to create a public access point to the beach next to her property. As a result of the ruling, Ackerman had to clear the path to the beach that she had obstructed, and she had to agree to let the pathway be put in. It opened in 2015.

TRD says Ackerman is moving inland, to a 24th-floor condo in Westwood’s Carlyle Residences, for which she paid $15 million.
