A stylish mixed-user is slated to replace a La Cienega car wash just south of West Hollywood. The plans, first spotted by Urbanize LA in the Mid City West Community Council’s Planning and Land Use Committee meeting agenda, offer a first look at the six-story building, which, if approved by the city, would hold 96 apartments (nine set aside for low-income tenants).
The apartments would be a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. They would sit over about 5,500 square feet of retail space and 8,500 square of restaurant space. Parking for 146 cars would be provided underground in a three-level garage.
The building, designed by Killefer Flammang Architects, would also include a gym and rooftop pool and deck for the residents.
The developer, Stark Enterprises, paid $21.25 million for the property earlier this year.
