With its lovely green awnings, red tile roof, and decorative iron window decorations, this South Orange Grove Boulevard estate impresses from the outside. Its interior, spanning 3,500 square feet, is all white walls, original tile floors, and beamed ceilings.

The serious potential of this well-preserved house is easy to see. Built in 1925, the house holds a library with built-ins, a lovely fireplace, arched doorways, a formal dining room, and a spacious kitchen that looks recently updated.

The two floors are connected via a curving staircase. On the top floor are all five of the estate’s bedrooms, each room brightened by lots of windows and, in some cases, French doors.

A staircase from the second floor connects to the rear yard’s patio, making it even easier to travel between the sleeping quarters and the pool area.

The Pasadena property last sold in 1989 for $950,000, public records show. It’s now listed for $2.995 million.
