A new apartment complex may soon be on the way to Historic Filipinotown.
According to plans filed with the city Friday, the project would include 71 units of housing, with 11 percent of those units set aside for very low-income tenants. It would rise from a vacant lot at 411 North Rosenell Terrace, at the intersection of Temple Street.
The complex would also include parking for 88 cars and 74 bikes.
The developer of the project is Caladan Investments, LLC, which recently submitted plans for five stories of housing that would replace a former diner in Westchester.
Meanwhile, closer to the site of this project, plans are in motion for a six-story apartment building on Temple and Hoover Streets that would bring 30 new units of housing to the area.
Right next door, a four-story complex with 221 apartments has been proposed by LaTerra Development. The Carrier Johnson + Culture-designed project would replace the Temple Community Hospital building; it would be called Pinnacle 360.
