A sleek new office building may be on the way to Santa Monica, just blocks from the 17th Street Metro station.

Planned for 1550 Euclid Street, the project would look out directly on the Expo Line tracks along Colorado Avenue. It would replace an existing parking lot and a small one-story structure with a mixed use structure containing 30,198 square feet of office space and 4,086 square feet of retail or restaurant space.

Plans filed with the city earlier this month (and spotted by Urbanize LA) show that the complex would be built atop a subterranean parking garage with 92 spots for cars and a total of 22 bike spaces.

If approved, the complex could begin construction in 2018, with work wrapping in 2020.

It’s far from the only project popping up along the booming Expo Line corridor. Other projects nearby include a residential project with 50 units and a five-story complex on Lincoln Boulevard with 193 units of housing.
