Plans for the first Southern California outpost of the U.K.-based Arts Club are moving right along, and a new environmental report (first spotted by Urbanize LA) sheds a bit more light on the project, backed by actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her business partner Gary Landesberg.

The posh and somewhat prudish establishment (swearing is strictly forbidden) would replace a West Hollywood commercial building that houses the Sunset Strip Hustler store. The club would be housed in a nine-story structure with retail and creative office space on the lower levels.

The Gensler-designed structure would have offset levels with “vertical fins” adorning the facade that appear to rotate and create “subtle, wave-like impressions.” It would sit atop an underground automated parking structure with space for 354 vehicles—up from 220 spots when we last heard about the project.

Starting from the fifth floor, the building would be accessible to members of the Arts Club only. This upper section would include private restaurants, bars, and lounges, along with screening rooms, a supper club, a fitness center and spa, and 15 guest rooms for members of the club. Each of the upper levels would also have its own dining terrace and a separate patio space offering views around the area.

The top floor would have a swimming pool and sun deck, as well as a bar and changing rooms.

This is far from the only private club planned for the LA area. Construction is underway on a new Arts District outpost for the swanky Soho House chain of clubs and another members only destination is planned about a mile to the north. Soho House also has another LA location just blocks from where the Arts Club is set to rise.

Construction could begin by the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018, with work on the project expected to last around 32 months. It should be ready to open by 2020.
