Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA ‘hoods. We’ve found five rentals within $100 of today’s price, $2,100.

One of four units in this Mid-Wilshire French Normandy-inspired building, the one-bedroom up for rent here measures roughly 1,000 square feet and boasts lovely moldings, arched doorways, wood floors, and a handful of other 1930s-era details. The apartment contains laundry machines and comes with a parking space. Rent is $2,200.

On the southern end of Koreatown, this two-bedroom, one-bathroom offers new hardwood floors, on-site laundry, and one parking space off the street—a sanity-saving perk in this neighborhood, where the parking crunch is especially painful. Rent is $2,000.
