Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA ‘hoods. We’ve found five rentals within $100 of today’s price, $1,800.

The description for the unit is light, but in-unit laundry, a glass shower enclosure, and access to the building’s rooftop deck are included. It rents for $1,825.

↑ Located inside a bougainvillea-covered building in on the western end of Hollywood, this one-bedroom apartment offers a balcony, wood floors, recessed lighting, and one parking space. It rents for $1,895.

↑Not far from the Glendale Galleria, this sweet two-bedroom unit has an updated bathroom and kitchen, laminate floors, and parking. The bathroom and kitchen have just been updated, too. It rents for $1,850.

↑ Roughly three blocks away from the Del Mar Gold Line Station in Pasadena, this one-bedroom apartment in a cute little courtyard-style complex is a nice find. The wood-floored unit has been recently renovated, and features a new fridge and stove. The complex offers on-site laundry and “optional” parking. The apartment rents for $1,750.
