Another big development may be on the way to the Olympic Boulevard corridor of Koreatown, where a growing number of projects are popping up lately.

Planned for the intersection of Olympic and Manhattan Place, the project would replace a pharmacy with a seven-story structure set to include 114 apartments and 3,550 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

It’s not clear whether any of the units will be set aside for lower income residents, but plans filed with the city Thursday show that developer Bastion Development Corporation is requesting a density bonus meant for projects that include affordable housing.

Dozens of other projects are in the works in Koreatown—mainly along the Wilshire corridor—but developers are also looking to the southern end of the neighborhood lately. Within just a few blocks of this latest project, at least twoothers are in the works. Combined, they’ll bring more than 400 units of housing to the area.
