Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA ’hoods. We’ve found five rentals within $100 of today’s price, $2,000. Vote for your favorite below.

This Burbank one-bedroom off the 5 Freeway offers recessed lighting, wood floors, a galley-style kitchen, and a roomy bedroom. The unit comes with a one-car detached garage. It rents for $1,950.

Measuring about 1,000 square feet, the apartment has a bay window, an updated kitchen, and access to the building’s pool. There are laundry hook-ups inside the apartment too. The unit comes with parking and rents for $1,950.

This little house in Kagel Canyon holds one bedroom, one bathroom, a fireplace, in-house laundry machines, a detached garage, and wood floors. “Hiking trails in every direction!” the listing proudly advertises. The unit rents for $2,000.
