Fresh off a 2.5 year renovation, this Arlington Heights home has miraculously returned with more character and charm. It was built more than a century ago in 1911, but it still boasts a shingled facade, box beam ceilings, and built-in cabinets.

The listing says it was lovingly restored—the work included stripping white paint from all of the moldings. But it was also modernized with marble countertops, a laundry room, and central heating and air conditioning.

Measuring a generous 2,451 square feet across two stories, the old Craftsman holds three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a delicious sunroom. There’s plenty of outdoor space, from the wide front porch to the backyard with a fire pit and a bounty space for vegetable gardens, a hammock, and seating.

Last sold in 2015 for $703,000, the 7,500-square-foot property is on the market now for $1.045 million. An open house is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
